Requirements

1 Ball Red Heart Soft (Aran) or any other soft Aran weight yarn(as soft as possible)

5mm needles

ABBREVIATIONS

m1 – make one stitch, by picking up the horizontal loop before next stitch and knitting into back of it

yfwd – Place yarn to the front of your work then over the needle to knit the next stitch

s1k1psso – slip the next stitch from the left to the right needle knit the next

stitch then pass the slipped stitch over the stitch just knit

k2tog – knit the next two stitches together k – knit p – purl

garter stitch – knit all rows

Pattern

Using 5 mm needles and two needle method cast on 18 stitches

Knit 1 row

Row 1 – k3,k2tog,yfwd,k5,yfwd,k3,s1k1psso,k3

Row 2 and all wrong side rows k3,p12,k3

Row 3 – k3,k2tog,k5,yfwd,k1,yfwd,k2,s1k1psso,k3

Row 5 – k3,k2tog,k4,yfwd,k3,yfwd,k1,s1k1psso,k3

Row 7 – k3,k2tog,k3,yfwd,k5,yfwd,s1k1psso,k3

Row 9 – k3,k2tog,k2,yfwd,k1,yfwd,k5,s1k1psso,k3

Row 11 – k3,k2tog,k1,yfwd,k3,yfwd,k4 s1k1psso,k3 Pattern until work measures 50cm or desired length

Knit 2 rows cast off.

Row 2 - knit

Row 4 - k3,p1,k3

Row 5 - k3,m1,k1,m1,k3

Row 7 - k4,m1,k1,m1,k4

Row 8 - k5,p1,k5

Row 9 - k1,k2tog,k5,k2tog,k1

Row 10 - k4,p1,k4

Row 11 - k1,k2tog,k3,k2tog,k1

Row 12 - k3,p1,k3

Row 13 - k1,k2tog,k1,k2tog,k1

Row 14 - k2tog,p1, k2tog

Row 15 - k3tog – fasten off and sew in place.

With 5mm needles

Cast on 10 stitches and knit one row

Row 2 and all even rows purl

Row 3 knit into the front and back off all stitches (20stitches)

Row 5 – Knit into the front and back of all stitches (40 stitches)

Row 7 – knit into the front and back of all stitches (80 stitches

Row 8 – purl

Cast off

sew cast off and cast on edges together
