Good morning everyone I thought I would start with the easiest square to make. This square is knit from corner to corner. I think it makes a tidier finish. I made my square 4" but you can make them any size you like using any yarn and needles. For this square I used 5mm needles and aran weight yarn
Pattern
Cast on 2 stitches
Knit into the front and back of the first stitch then knit to end of row- repeat this row until your work measures 4" ( see diagram) or required length
Knit 1 row
Next row (decreasing) - K1,K2tog( knit the next two stitches together) - knit to end of row - repeat this row until you have 2 stitches left
knit two together and cut off yarn - thread through last stitch to finish off
If you are not sure how to knit into front and back of stitch check out this video
