I don't know about anyone else but I am missing my family so much. I decided that I am going to add a heart to my square 1's for every member of my family.

Heart Pattern (any yarn and needles I used aran and 5mm)

*Cast on 5 stitches

Row 1 - knit

Row 2 - kfb (knit into the front and back of the first stitch) knit the rest of the row

Row 3 - knit

Row 4 - knit until the last stitch,kfb

Row 5 - knit

Row 6- kfb, knit the rest of the row - leave these stitches on your needle* and make 1 more piece from *-*

Join pieces

Next row - knit across the stitches of both pieces to join them together.

Knit 4 rows

Row 1 - knit 2 together knit until last 2 stitches, knit 2 together

Row 2 - knit

repeat rows 1 and 2 until 2 stitches are left knit to together and finish off by pulling yarn through last stitch

finish off ends and sew into place on your blanket
